The mission of the Derby City Sailing Club is to assist and encourage its members in the ownership and use of sailing vessels through cruising, racing and daysailing.

Wednesday Night Racing

The Derby City Sailing Club believes that sailing is meant to be a fun, safe activity, and the club will endeavor to promote those activities throughout our duration.

Weekend Long-Distance Racing

Conceived in 1974 and later established in 1976, the DCSC provides social entertainment and educational information to its membership and the general public through cruises, racing, meetings and seminars.

Raft-Ups and Rendezvous

Membership is open to all, regardless of whether one owns a boat or not. Dinner meetings with guest speakers are normally held once a month during the off season.

Come Sail Away With Us

We have 35-40 sailboats racing in five fleets on Wednesday nights. From a casual racing fleet, to intense spinnaker fleets, you can find a level of competition that meets your expectations. We have Saturday distance races and weekend long regattas too.

We enjoy casual cruises at scenic and fun destinations up and down the Ohio River. Anchor out for the weekend…raft up on the water or come ashore for a beach party bar-b-que.
