This Weeks Schedule:
Thursday (tonight) - Kidís Night on the Water
Last Thursday night, we had four boats on the water with at least six kids on board. The winds were perfect for letting the kids take the helm for a while. Bring your children for a fun night. No racing; No organization; Just fun. There is no certain time to start. Just bring your kids and grandkids for a night on the water.

The LSC annual directory has been published on line. An email with the link and password has been sent to all paying members of the club. Also look for the Member Directory in the port-side menu bar on this website.
Thanks to Fanny Timmer for all the time and energy that she put into publishing this yearís directory. It was a very time consuming task to gather as many pictures that were published. Now, when we go home we can link a face with a name. Next year we should be able to secure more pictures to fill in all those blank spaces. From now on when a family joins, they will be asked to submit a self picture.
The Ohio River monitoring station at Second Street has been moved to the Louisville Water Company at Zorn. The alerts that you use to receive may have been canceled. Also, we have not determined what the levels that are being displayed means for the river level at the club. Here is a link to reactivate your email alerts. It may or may not allow you to sign up, but here it is anyway.
SailLouisville also streams detailed river conditions including level and flows at this link, which can also be found on the homepage.
In a continuing effort to manage the boats stored at the club and discover which boats are abandoned, we need to identify the current membershipís boats. When invoices were sent out stickers were attached. They have the year, 2014, and your invoice number. Please put one on the starboard bow of each boat, just below the rub rail; the other goes on your trailer - right side or top of the hitch fitting. If you have a sail stored in the club house, use one for the sail/mast, near the step. If you need stickers for your boat, contact Eugene Cox.
It is also a good idea to paint your name on your cradle. When the mud crews have to quickly get boats off the lower dock when the river is rising, there is no time to make sure all cradles and boats are matched together.
The club is available for private functions at no cost to club members. In order to reserve the club for an event, contact Lisa Hart for reservations and guidelines.

Crew Search and Classified Ads
If you are willing to crew or in need of crew, looking for a boat or wanting to sell a boat, and would like to list it on the LSC emails, send your name, information and Email address to the editor. Please indicate if you want to crew or need crew on Saturday or Sunday. Keep in mind that most skippers are in search for someone that is committed to sailing almost every weekend
Don't forget that SailLouisville also provides free Classified Ads that reaches out to a broader audience outside the club.
