LSC Dues

LSC billing for the 2014 season has been sent out to all club members. Be sure to return your dues quickly. For some reason it takes money to operate the club and you dues is needed. Also, stickers were sent to members that have previously registered their boats with the club. Be sure to put them on your boat and trailer by June.

Trash Pile

Our neighbors up river have flushed a tremendous amount of debris in the river this past winter. Many docks in the local area are cover with trees and trash. Louisville Sailing Club has been the recipient of our neighbor’s generosity. The pictures below speak for themselves.

This past Wednesday, several club members met to determine what to do with the cracked water pipe at the club. While this repair will be done sometime next week when the part arrive, the group turned their attention to the river. What started out to tossing a few sticks back in the river, turned in to a massive clean up effort. While the group did not get all of the six foot pile of stuff away from the pilings, they reduced it down to a couple of trees that are still trapped.

If the group had brought a chain saw, the job might have been completed. Thanks to Keith Kenitzer, Eugene Cox, Pat Passafiume, Neal Deaves, Lee Gerstle, and Jim Wilhem for the clean up job. There is still some to do. The group wanted to save some for the rest of the club members to do.

In next years directory it has been suggested that we include pictures of members. If you have a picture of yourself that you would like to submit, send it to happyhull (You will know it was received if you get the message “This email address does not respond to your email”).
