PostponedSunfish Rally
Saturday, July 7, 11

The Louisville Sailing Club Sunfish Rally that is scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.  The temperature at race time is predicted to be close to one hundred degrees with little to no wind.  The LSC officers and Sunfish fleet captain will try to find a suitable date to reschedule the event.
“Styrofoam Cup” around the island race

Two Highlanders, three Lasers, two Sunfish and a Y Flyer braved the elements to travel around Twelve MileIsland.
The first boat finished the trip in one hour and fifteen minutes while the Sunfish fleet came in thirty minutes later.  Everyone received the much sought after Styrofoam Cup personally engraved by Pat Passafiume. Additional Pictures
Last Saturday, five Thistles set sailed Sat in a 5-8 knot wind and completed one race in warm temps and shifting wind. It was a fun day and several lasers were day sailing to complete a wonderful day with plenty of time for shore talk.

The 2012 Louisville Sailing Club directories are now available.  Thanks to Fanny Timmer for putting it together.  Pick up the one with your name on it.  They are located downstairs of the club house.  If any of the information is incorrect, send the correction to eugene.cox@insightbb.com .

Club Maintenance

The grass is getting tall around a number of boats parked in the middle of the field.  Please move them so that our lawn care service can mow in that area.  There is room for a number of boats along the fence near the gate. There are also many slots around the rest of the perimeter of the property.  If you see litter please put it in it place.  It is our club.  We need to keep the club looking good.

Club Duty
Saturday – Sunday July ( 7/7-7/8) Ray Kleinhelter, Wayne Weible and George Lucas
Saturday – Sunday June (7/14-7/15) Jay Geil, Jan Johnson, Mark Linder
Club Crew Duties are posted on the club house window and with the scoring sheets.
If you are unable to serve on the date assigned, it is your responsibility to find a replacement. If you exchanged dates with someone, please notify the Crew Captain and also please notify Keith Kenitzer by email.
