Rain Gutter Regatta
Saturday, June 2, 9:00 – 12:00
This Saturday, June 2nd, LSC is the host location for the cub scouts’ Rain Gutter Regatta. How does one sail in a rain gutter. The scouts build small sail boats. Then, they place them in a gutter filled with water. Using their own wind, they will make the boat sail to the finish line. Maybe, we will have future sail boat builders develop from this group. All are welcome to watch.
LSC’s First Monday’s series continues this Monday June 4th, at 7:00 PM for one hour. Sailing season is finally here. Join Neal Deaves for tips on getting the most out of your sailing vessel.
Last week race results
Unfortunately, the winds blew last Thursday and Friday and forgot to show up for the weekend and Tuesday night. No boats were able to race, but there was considerable activity getting boats ready to put in the water. Some boats are now secured at the lower lever ready to go. The wind forecast for Saturday is looking good.
