For those making the trek from Upper River Road to the Louisville Sailing Club or either Captain's Quarters or Limestone marina having the one-lane bridge that crosses Harrod's Creek closed is going to be a hassle.

It was suggested to the CCL Board that the Cruising Club donate $100 to veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.  The Board agreed and also decided to take up a contribution from members attending the CCL Christmas Party at Captains Quarters.

The Cruising Club has announced the winners of the annual CCL Cruising Award, Booney Award, Shackle Award and Ramp Award.

Marine Sales & Service on River Road is just about the only home-on-the-hard for local area keel boats. Unfortunately the next door sand company blows ill wind.

Sailboaters from marina's near the head of 6-mile island have found The Cove a pleasant refuge from the bounce and current of a river anchorage and a place to raft-up and cool-down after a day of racing. If you value this hideaway you can tune into the latest news coverage on whether The Cove will be give public or private status.

Limestone Bay Yacht Club, which is harbor to many a sailboat, just made available a list of landmarks at the marina that will help provide some visual clues to gage river levels.
