Unfortunately your webcaptain, a true lover of the artful beers from NABC wasn't there to join in the fun and tasting, but cruising chairperson Jim Strylander, who pulled the event together reported, "Roger Baylor, owner and beer expert (certified beer tasting judge) gave an excellent presentation on the origin of beer as we know it and the various types available. He presented six different brews ranging from a pilsner to a heavy chocolate stout, and a dessert beer for tasting. All the beers were not enjoyed by all, but I think everyone found a beer they could like, including one with a slight 'smokey' flavor.& Everyone had a good time and maybe want to have a similar cruise next year. One hearty sailor suggested a bourbon tasting cruise, possibly at his house".
You can look forward to this becoming an annual event and with increased participation.

The CCL cruising committee is getting an early start this year, refusing to let a little snow and freezing temperature slow things down.
